Working with the body is an important aspect of healing.  There is certain help that can be achieved through direct manipulation, adjustments, and release.

I have been practicing CranioSacral Therapy, SomatoEmotional Release and Reflexology for many years.   These therapies can be used in support of other modalities or stand alone as a form of healing.

REFLEXOLOGY

Certificate fromColorado School of Healing Arts (1996)

Our feet and hands are a map of our whole body. Specific areas on our feet and hands correlate to individual body parts, organs and systems. Reflexology is a healing art that uses foot and hand massage to effect and balance these systems.

Reflexology treatments are a great way for people to become more aware of their health and to start regaining balance. An overall treatment is very relaxing and starts to break up the "congestion" that is reflected in the feet. People are amazed how good they can feel.

My practice of Reflexology has been enhanced by my study of Classical Chinese Five Elements system of healing. I use the Five Elements System to help me determine the client's "Causative Factor" - the root cause of the client's complaint. By treating the source of the problem, rather than trying to simply alleviate symptoms, true healing can occur.

CranioSacral Therapy

Trained in CranioSacral Therapy – Upledger Institute (1999)

CST was pioneered and developed by osteopathic physician Sutherland and expanded upon by John E. Upledger.

CST is a gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the functioning of the body system called the craniosacral system, containing the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord.

Using a very light touch, practitioners release restrictions in the craniosacral system to improve the functioning of the central nervous system.  The intentional touch learned allows for identifying restrictions and energy cysts in other parts of the body as well.

This complements the body's natural healing processes and is increasingly used as a preventive health measure for its ability to bolster resistance to disease; it is effective for a wide range of medical problems associated with pain and dysfunction.

SomatoEmotional Release (SER)

SER is a therapeutic process that uses and expands on the principles of CranioSacral Therapy to help rid the mind and body of the residual effects of trauma. SER offers applications designed to enhance results using CST and other complementary therapies.  SER releases residual effects of past trauma and negative emotional experiences held by the body and mind referred to as energy cysts.
